Who or what is a Maureen?
Maureen was a wife, lover, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, companion. She was bubbly, gracious, sensitive, fair and curious.

Maureen is someone who is dearly missed now she is no longer with us,

Maureen is someone who was courageous, never complaining, and always placed other peoples thoughts and feelings over her own.

Maureen was someone who always had time for others no matter how she was feeling or where she was-she left a light with all who met her.

Most of all Maureen had this amazing sense of wonder.

Maureen was my mum but I know we all know of a "Maureen" somewhere.

So I was thinking for Maureen's everywhere could I suggest the following,

My mum during a visit to us here in New Zealand [we are Welsh UK] fell in love with a tree we have because she felt it had pink fairies for flowers. The tree is a persian silk tree and she is right, the flowers look just like pink fairies.

This July 5th is the first anniversary of mums passing and in honor of her and Maureen's everywhere I would love people to grow persian silk trees or as we are now calling them Maureen's Pink Fairies as a celebration of people no longer around, and of people who have survived or are living with Breast cancer.

I am writing to all breast cancer charities to ask them to make the Maureen's pink fairy tree seeds available in their stores.

I would love to share with anyone who may be interested a pic of my mum and of the tree being mentioned.
