| I recently switched from Tamoxifen to Femara. I took Tamoxifen for 5 years and gained about 10 pounds. Now I've been on Femara for almost 7 months and have lost the weight again. I was wondering if this was normal. To gain weight through one drug, and loose that weight again through another? |

| Weight gain can be a side effect of Tamoxifen, its not actually weight gain in the sense of more meat but its usually water retention. Whoever, weight loss is a common side effect of Femara (2-15% of patients experience it). So it could be a combination of the two side effects, or simply be because of the Femara. |
