Hi, The reason I'm posting here is obviously because I have a problem and am seeking advice. For the last two years, since going through menopause, I have had repeated bouts of cysts in my right breast. The first time these cysts appears I had fluid drawn off by a needle, and because the fluid was black and cloudy, I had a mammogram and a biopsy; thankfully it turned out to be nothing more than a cyst. The cysts went away. Now last year a few more "new" cysts appeared, and I underwent another mammogram. The specialist said that it would be best to leave the alone, but did caution me that if they become worse, I would have to go back and get operated on my breast. The most recent recurrence has left me with three large, and very painful, lumps and am awaiting a call from the clinic for their assessment. I am worried about the possibility of an operation as I am not sure what this involves and how radical it will be. I am also a little worried that these cysts could be pre-cancerous. I suppose I am asking for anyone who has had this condition to give me some sort of prognosis. I do not take heart medicine and have only very minimal caffeine intake. I wonder what else I could be doing to improve things. Any ideas? thank you! |

One of my close friends had something similar. She leaked clear, blood tinged, and black fluids from her nipples. Her doctor checked her out, and they turned out to be benign. She said that they could be painful, but they eventually went away by themselves. keep us updated. |
