    <title>I took it stride when I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer</title>
    <description>When I found my lump, I was scared and try to figure out how to get a mammogram since I did not have insurance and I was having other medical problems, I saw a sign for a free mammograms in the month of October 2008 to a local hospital. They found something which I already knew. I also told myself that I would get through this. I did not have much support from my family, but I had the support from my extented family and friends.  It is so nice that there are support groups abd organizations that are a great help. It is so nice that networking to help each other get through it. No matter what type of cancer it is. 

After the the test, they wanted me to come in for a needle byopsy( not sure of spelling) which was very painful was done on October 30th, 2008. Then they called for a surgical one in December. That was when I was diagnosed with DCIS stage I/II A. I had my 1st lumpectomy on January 3rd and they could not get it all, so they tried another lumpectomy on Januray 16th.
