My mother was 34 when she was first diagnosed. If i remember correctly, she was told it looked like it had been there a while. The one breast was removed along with some lymph nodes under her arm. She went through 3 different chemo's and then radiation. The first fight last, about a year and a half. It was a very blurry year and a half. I was 14 and my mom lived in bed or over the toilet. Through the sickness and fear, she fought and pulled through. Wearing her wig every where she went. Years went by with no sign of return. I was 19 and left home. Oct or Nov of 2005, she was told something was wrong. She kept getting small cases of pneumonia. She was told to get it looked at. Come to find out, it had spread. She fought, cried, but never stopped. She told me she was thankful that God had given her more time. She believed she had a purpose, and was going to fulfill it. Even with the scare she had... a blood clot had form and blocked her airway. She sat in the hospital, wanting to leave. She needed to move. So with the faith and hope she had, she kept pushing. She was the helping hand to anyone and everyone. Doing anything her body would allow her to do. She would go till she was exhausted and in pain. People didn't understand how she got around, and she was still going. When she couldn't get around anymore, she picked up new hobbies. Started making blankets for people, and started making jewelry. So the people she left behind would have something. She did this up until the night she was taking to the hospital. She could no longer stand, and was zoning out. Apr 20, 1013 pm, i get a phone call. I was at the hospital the next day. The doctors said it was either a stroke, or the cancer made it to the brain. I hoped for the stroke, but knew better. They hoped and tried to convince themselves that she would push through. Eventually the hospital said they couldn't do anymore for her. She was sent home and hospice took over. May 6th, 300am, the angels took her away. By that point it had been in her lungs, hips, spine, ribs, skull, liver and kidney. The only thing that stopped her was her brain. She knew the people that cared about her would take care of everything.

Re: The Story of Telvina, my Mom
Hi.i've recently come to know about it that my mom is also diagnosed with the same. I'm trying my best to help her but loose hopes sometimes. After reading your story i fee5 that your mom must 've been an angle. Pls request her to give my mom the strength to fight with this disease. God bless you and your angle mother.

Re: The Story of Telvina, my Mom
Hi, I forgot about this blog. If you read the bottom again, it says she was taken by angels. She's been gone for 3.5 years. She passed right before Mother's Day.
