"The biopsy showed that the mass on your right breast is cancerous" My first reaction was to be strong for my mom. And then the fear and the pain of the unknown. Finally, I couldn't hold it anymore and cried my eyes out. After five months, I can honestly say, It hasn't gotten any easier. My mom is a strong woman and very independent, so seeing her make decisions that I know she doesn't want to make hurts me deeply. She had to quit her job and move out of her apartment; now she lives with my brother and pretty much depends on us to move her around.
She's had 8 sessions of chemo and the journey continues.... we stil have 8 more chemo sessions... and honestly I'm not sure if we have the strength to go on....
