I was 22 when i found out i had breast cancer. It was September of 2007. I knew somewhere down the line i may have to worry about it both my mother and my grandmother had breast cancer. I did self examines monthly all on the anniversary of my birthday. And when I found a lump that felt like a small disc I freaked out a little. I told my mom and let her feel it, she told me that I should get it checked out. I scheduled an appointment with my regular physician. A mammogram was done my mom went with me and held my hand the whole time. Before i had it done my mom said "Amanda this is real the boob squishier hurts" haha I laughed. But when it was done the radiologist (a friend of my mom's) came out to talk to my mom and I in person. When I saw her walk out my eyes instantly filled with tears! I knew this meant bad news. I grabbed for my mom's hand and squeezed. She told me they wanted to biopsy it right away. That was scheduled right away as well. The results weren't good. The doctor told me he wanted to go ahead
